Toughest Entrance Exam

JEE is known to be the toughest entrance exam in the world and has been known to use the tough questions in the exam to weed out not so bright students. Courses offered are

BArch (Bachelor of Architecture)
BDes (Bachelor of Design)
BTech (Bachelor of Technology)
Dual Degree (Integrated Bachelor of Technology and Masters of Technology)
Integrated MSc (Master of Sciences)

The IIT JEE does not have the screening test as was the case from year 2000-2005. The syllabus is taken from the CBSE board class XII course. The IIT JEE exam was instituted 52 years ago. The test now consists of only objective exam as opposed to the earlier exam of the subjective exam. The age limit is 25 years.

There a number of coaching institutes that coaches the students each year on ways to crack this tough exam. These institutes offer B. Tech as opposed to BE or bachelor of engineering that is offered by most undergraduate programs. For entry into the main colleges for M.Tech the institutes have the GATE exam.
